Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course
Performance Buoyancy
Prerequisites and Equipment:
To take the Peak Performance Buoyancy course, you must:
- be at least 10 years old
- have already a (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or another qualifying rating
- possess or rent basic scuba equipment
Peak Performance Buoyancy Course Program:
In this course you will learn everything about the neutral buoyancy. Scuba divers like to be neutrally buoyant – it means that they will neither sink nor float. Divers who have mastered the highest performance levels in buoyancy are able to stand apart! They are able to glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover, almost as if by thought. Like this they can interact gently with the marine life and affect their surroundings only minimally. It is not the easiest thing to do, but the Peak Performance Buoyancy course refines the basic skills which you have learned as an Open Water Diver and elevates them to the next level. During a short time your scuba skills will develop in an incredibly way! You will learn how to trim your equipment so you are perfectly balanced in the water and you will be taught about the nuances in determining weight so you are neither too light nor too heavy by even a slight degree. Further we will show you how to streamline to save air and move more smoothly through the water, and how to hover effortlessly in both a vertical position and a horizontal position.
