Prerequisites and Equipment:
To take the National Geographic Diver course, you must:
- be at least 10 years old
- have already a (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or another qualifying rating
- possess or rent basic scuba equipment
National Geographic Diver Course Program:
If you want to be more than just a tourist and become a real explorer, join this course! You will participate in an exploration project such as a survey of plant life and learn to observe and explore like an underwater scientist as you will think, observe and document like those who dive for science and discovery. We will broaden your awareness and hone your skills to a new level. You will learn how to fine-tune your buoyancy and how to meliorate your navigation skills, by compass as well as by natural references. We will show you how to observe your surroundings to not miss anything during our dives. You will be introduced to numerous aquatic species which will enable you to identify local plants and marine animals. And also you will gather information and collect images to create a detailed visual presentation of what you have discovered. You will complete a minimum of two dives during this certification.
