Prerequisites and Equipment:

To take this course, you must:

• be at least 15 years old (12 years for the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
• have an Open Water Diver certification
• be trained and current for first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) within the last 24 months
• possess or rent all basic scuba gear including accessories, underwater compass and a dive computer; what you need also depends on which three adventure dives you pick; you might for example need underwater photography equipment or underwater scooters

Advanced Open Water Diver Course Program: 

The Advanced Open Water Diver course will increase your confidence and develop your scuba skills so you will feel more safe and comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and enforces new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving. You will hone your skills by completing five adventure dives, Underwater Navigation, Deep Diver (usually between 18 and 30 meters) and three more dives of your choice; each adventure dive includes a theoretical lesson and an open water dive.

For scuba divers 15 years old and older:

• Wreck Diver

Finally you will among others have learnt more about practical aspects of deep diving, physiological effects of deeper scuba diving, more ways to use an underwater compass, how to navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time, how to better use your dive computer and more skills depending on your choice concerning the adventure dives.
